The service

FinMoat is a software tool that reads your consolidated account statements (CAS) and bank statements and computes portfolio, capital-gains and tax-harvesting estimates. The free version is provided as-is. FinMoat Pro is a paid, time-limited licence (see plans on the purchase page).

Not investment, tax or legal advice

FinMoat is a calculation tool. It does not recommend buying or selling any security and is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Tax figures are estimates based on the rules in force when published and on the data in your statements; verify with a qualified Chartered Accountant before acting. You are responsible for your transactions and tax filings.

Licences

A licence is for the number of investors stated in the plan (Individual: 1, Family: 2, CA/Adviser: 25), identified by the scrambled investor code described in the Privacy Policy (made from 4 characters of the PAN on your statements; the PAN itself never leaves your device). Sharing or reselling licences, or attempting to circumvent licence checks or data-access limits, is not permitted and may lead to revocation without refund. Pro data (daily NAVs, monthly fund holdings) may be subject to fair-use limits.

Statements we can't read yet

If FinMoat can't read one of your statements and you send us its masked outline (made by the app's "Report a statement problem"; no names or real numbers), we'll send you a free 7-day Pro licence key once we've checked it — one per person for each kind of statement. We use the outline only to add support for that layout.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Data sources (AMFI, fund-house disclosures) may be delayed or change format.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the preceding 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Delhi have jurisdiction.
